Many people spend a fortune on cosmetics and skin care products hoping to achieve a good complexion.

Swapping out some daily habits and being more aware of other lifestyle factors will totally provide you with better results then any expensive products can give you!

1. Relax

It’s amazing what deep breaths and some alone time can do to your mind. Meditation is also a good idea, let your mind and body calm down.

Try doing some breathing exercises, clear your mind from all the toxic thoughts.

2. Sleep

Everyone has said it, and I'll say it again: SLEEP IS IMPORTANT! Guys, I can't tell you how much your skin can improve from a constituent regular sleep schedule if you get a good amount of sleep.

A good night's sleep means good skin health! Why? When you're sleep-deprived, your body makes more stress hormones, these hormones can lead to increased stress and inflammation in the body, hurting your skin's quality.

3. Working out

Working out can help you in many ways: it decreases your risk of getting certain diseases, helps you control your weight and improves your skin condition. By increasing blood flow, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital.

4. Drink tea

Tea has been scientifically proven to calm your nerves. Each type of tea has a different purpose, but they're all healthy and good for you. I personally like mint tea and black tea.

If your complexion is red or blotchy, this tea’s anti-inflammatory properties can be soothing and drinking tea helps the body avoid creating gas and bloating.

5. Avoid stress

Let yourself rest for a while. Sometimes it’s okay to just sleep all day and do nothing, at least if you are always on the go, your mind needs to rest too. You might be wondering how stress affects the skin? Well, this is because stress causes your body to make hormones like cortisol, which tells glands in your skin to make more oil. Avoiding stress will also keep you looking younger looking.

6. Use body lotion

Using body lotion can help your skin out a ton. If you feel as though your skin is ashy or dry, then all you need is lotion!

Keep trying out different ones until you find one scent that suits you! The lotion will keep your complexion glowy and moisturizer.

7. Drink water 

This is much like the sleeping topic, everyone has said it, but I'll say it again! Drinking water and staying hydrated at all times is extremely important.

You may not notice a difference at first, but as you keep drinking water all day long throughout the days, you'll definitely see a result that you will like.

Another great hack for a glowy skin and honestly just feeling better and healthier is to drink flavoured water.

Add mint, cucumbers, or any sort of fruit in your water and receive a range of benefits on the inside and outside of your body.

8. Be kind to yourself

Do things that make you happy, go to places where you feel good, be with someone who understands you, love every little thing about yourself, be proud that you’ve come this far.

Remember to reward yourself and spoil yourself every now and then!No matter what, don’t ever forget your own worth.

We all know how important self-love is.

Loving yourself mean that you accept yourself, flaws and all. Self-love leads to self-confidence.

Self-love is something everyone should practice until it's something that's part of them.
