5 PRODUCTS TO LOOK FOR TO CLEAR ACNE PRONE SKIN
Acne has always been a struggle of mine since my teenager years. I have had acne prone skin for most of my teenage life and it led to awful self confidence and a scramble by buying tons of products to put anything on my face that could possibly change the state or cover it up.
I was sick of my skin condition and hated it until I started doing some research to find some sort of solution that could actually work.
One of the recommendation that showed up was an ingredient cause salicylic acid. I bought products that contained salicylic acid that worked for acne-prone and oily skin types.
Within 4-5 weeks my skin was actually clearing up. I combined a routine with a flexible diet and to this day I hardly get any breakouts, which frankly feels like a miracle, because at that time I felt that I might seriously suffer with acne for the rest of my life.
This inspired me to tell others what methods and products have benefited me the most and hopefully lead someone else on their clear skin journey!
In this blog post I will go over my favorite products to use that have truly helped my skin clear up like crazy.
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask
This mask has helped my skin a lot!
If you have sensitive skin mix it with water, but if you something more strong mixing it with apple cider vinegar instead of water gives it skin clearing properties that works really well to target acne.
I use this around once a week and use a mask brush to apply it onto my face and it makes my skin look amazing the next day!
Tea Tree Oil
I'm love using this tea tree oil. This oil possesses antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antifungal properties.
It's good for sensitive skin like mine, and gives results pretty fast. I use it's pure form diluted in water, but it also comes in creams and other premade products, like the Keeva Acne cream that I've heard works wonders!
However, I just buy pure Tea Tree Oil off Amazon and it works well. I seriously recommend, as it also helps prevent scarring!
I use it for active pimples I have before I go to sleep and it is dry and almost gone the next morning which is super fast.
Witch hazel relieves inflammation, reduces skin irritation and fights acne.
It really did change my skin complexion and reduced areas of pink/red skin. I lightly rub a cotton pad cloth soaked with witch hazel all over my skin to remove any dirt or oil that might have gathered up during the night.
I use this as a toner in my daily skincare routine.
Organic, natural rose water was perfect for bringing hydration and calmness back to my skin and restoring its pH.
I use it to tone my face and also multiple times a day just to feel refreshed.
Both my witch hazel and rose water toners are organic, natural and locally bought, since most brands put a bunch of other ingredients in when producing them (and alcohol, too, yikes), so I avoid them.
This product has done wonders to my skin and cleared most, maybe even all, of my acne marks on my face.
But there are some downsides, this product is extremely drying and will make your skin prone to peeling. But with proper care this can be avoided.
It only took about 3 months for my skin is be pretty much clear!
Now that my skin is clear I can ditch using benzoyl peroxide and continue using cleansers, masks and tea tree oil to manage my acne, without irritating and drying out my skin.
That wraps up this post on different ingredients that helped me clear up my skin dramatically and they can also help you!
